Prior to joining LIU in September 2008, Nathan was the Insurance Manager and Legal Counsel for the New South Wales thoroughbred racing regulatory authority. His role involved the management of the thoroughbred industry’s specialised workers’ compensation insurance operations, facilitating the placement of the industry’s broader insurance policies and the provision of a broad range of legal services.
Earlier in his career, Nathan worked for approximately seven years in private legal practice. During that period he specialised in insurance litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on statutory and common law workers’ compensation claims. He has experience in working with employers across a wide range of industries and considerable expertise in managing and reserving significant injuries.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). He is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a Solicitor.
